Our Haze in the Treasure Valley is Improving as Smoke Clears From Northwest

It's made for some beautiful pictures, sports cancellations, and the recommendation to stay inside, but our Treasure Valley air quality is finally improving. 

Credit storms over the weekend that brought rain in parts of Washington and Oregon, helping to fight fires and move out stagnant air across the entire region.  Spokespersons for the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise said that the air quality would continue to improve as the inversion that had trapped the smokey air moved out of the Treasure Valley.

They report that the Northwest Region continues to battle 67 active wildfires, so the change in the weather is a welcome aid in gaining control over some of the more challenging fires.
