Nampa Parks and Recreation has put together a plan to safely open the Lincoln Pool and Lakeview Water Park for 2020.

When Mayor McLean and the City of Boise made the decision to NOT open community pools in the City of Trees, many of our listeners expressed how disappointed they were with the decision. Some of you felt the decision was made prematurely. Others were crushed that low income families wouldn't have the opportunity to take advantage of an affordable way for the kids to cool down with their friends.

Luckily, the story in Canyon County is a little bit different. Nampa is moving forward with opening their public pools! Weather permitting, both Lincoln Pool and Lakeview Water Park will open on Saturday, June 6.

To control crowds, guests will be required to reserve a two hour block of swim time ahead of time through the parks department's website. Sessions run 12:30-2:30, 2:45-4:45 and 6:30-8:30. They'll be capped at 75 guests.

No cash payments will be accepted onsite, so you'll need to pay online before you go. The admission prices remain affordable at $1.25 (ages 0-5,) $2.50 (ages 6-17) and $3.75 (ages 18+.)

Locker room access will be limited, so they ask that guests come prepared in their swimsuits and plan to leave the same way.
