The Treasure Valley's two remaining drive-in theaters aren't the only place where you can catch a family, friendly movie under the stars! One of Nampa's best summer traditions is returning for it's seventh season.

The roller coaster ride we've called the 2020-2021 school year is starting to wind down and before you know it, you'll be looking for ways to keep the kids entertained during summer break. Between camp, trips to Roaring Springs and the fair, summer can get expensive for parents and that's why Nampa Parks and Rec strives to offer as many free family activities as they can while the kids are out of school!

Since 2014, Silver Screen on the Green at Optimist Park has been one of those activities! Beginning on June 4, families can bring out their blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a FREE family movie on Nampa's giant inflatable movie screen!

We haven't heard if the City of Boise plans on bringing back Movies Under the Stars, which rotated weekly from park to park.

Middleton Area Optimist Club is teasing their Drive-In movie series at Foote Park as "Coming Soon." They did show movies in 2020, so we'll keep you updated when they announce their schedule!
