Star Wars Fans Get Excited! The Force Arrives in Boise in March
Star Wars fans rejoice! The Discovery Center of Idaho recently announced in a press release that "The World's Largest Star Wars Fan Exhibit" will be coming to Boise on March 6th of this year. If you've never been, Discovery Center of Idaho is located at 131 W. Myrtle St. and will be the place all of the Treasure Valley Jedis want to be before it's gone.
"The Fans Strike Back Exhibition."
Discovery Center of Idaho is going to have everything a Star Wars fanatic could want in an exhibit. According to their press release, the Discovery Center of Idaho's Star Wars exhibit will feature plenty of Star Wars memorabilia to get fans excited:
...exceptional staging of the most popular Star Wars sets, a stunning depiction of a spaceship battle, a special selection of mythical weapons, helmets, film masks signed by actors, and even iconic creatures from the legendary saga. Visitors will immerse themselves in a galaxy far, far away through photos, posters, famous costumes, life-size figurines, models, light sabers, blasters, and more.
They also note that like the exhibits will feature several items from fans who have purchased Star Wars memorabilia over the years.
I have to confess - I saw a few of the early Star Wars films and that's pretty much where it ended for me. That being said, this still sounds awesome and certainly sounds like something that would provoke me into diving deeper into the Star Wars universe. I did catch The Phantom Menace but the only thing that did anything for me was that red and black alien-looking guy who had horns all over his body. He had this sick red double lightsaber and looked like he never brushed his teeth a day in his life... he was awesome. Looking at photos on their site, it seems we can expect this legend of sci-fi cinema will make an appearance at the exhibit.
