2023 Is The Year Cuddling For Hire Blows Up in Boise
I'm just going to say that with the way the world is and the direction it's going, we could all use an extra hug now and then. 2023 has been wild so far and it seems that people, now more than ever, need a little bit of that extra... touch.
Cuddling Therapy
That's right, whether you think of it as therapy for cuddling or cuddling for therapy, it exists right here in the Treasure Valley. No matter how you look at it, there are people there for you ready to provide a service that we never knew we needed - those sweet, fingernail-tipped rubs on your scalp that knock you out. Interestingly enough, there are ways for people to get their "sweet rubs" at a cost and it's only a click away.
There are two ways to about it - a local business or a website for locals. Unless I'm wrong, I only found one actual local business that is operating out of Boise as a cuddling business. Another website has freelance cuddlers that you can book but the website operates in several cities.
What are the benefits of cuddling therapy?
According to the website for Boise's Alt Touch Therapy, one of the main benefits is stress relief which can be attributed to cuddling's "ability to release Oxytocin, Dopamine, and Serotonin."
They go on to say that "Oxytocin has a major role in lowering blood pressure, lowering stress levels, reducing social anxiety, helping to relieve pain, and protecting against inflammation, all of which are said to make us age faster!"
Hey, at least you'll have a good reason to nag your significant other about why you need the head scratch so much!
