Why Californians flocked to In-N-Out when it opened!

The Treasure Valley has been excited as the beloved fast food chain In-N-Out Burger finally opened its doors at The Village in Meridian on December 12th, which broke ground in March 2023. According to Michelle Hart, they've also filed for permits for a second location where the old Pier 1 is. Rumors are also swirling about a third location in Nampa.

The news of the iconic double-double with crispy fries coming to town has ignited a wave of excitement on social media with a buzz of speculation about a ground opening date.

With the amount of Californians that have moved to the Treasure Valley, In-N-Out isn't just a fast food chain; it's a cultural icon, and for many Californians, it's a taste of home and nostalgia. There was no doubt that there was going to be some very long wait times when In-N-Out opened. When In-N-Out opened in Colorado Springs, wait times were almost 14 hours.

A Californian was actually the first in line at In-N-Out.

According to Chris, the first person at the 400th In-N-Out in Meridian was Dylan from Dana Point, California who drove 12 hours with a friend who got into line at 1:53 Monday morning. They were, in fact, the first people to go through the drive-thru at In-N-Out.
