I don't know if I've ever been as excited to see a pizza delivery driver as I was on Monday night.

Since the very first year my husband and I started dating, we've had a special Valentine's Day tradition. He's someone who appreciates a good wine, so I was shocked that he'd never been out to Idaho's own little version of Napa Valley...the Sunnyslope Wine Trail in Caldwell. That Valentine's Day, I put together a little picnic basket of meats and cheeses and a couple of empty wine glasses that each contained a piece of paper with an address on it. He didn't know where we were going, but I did! Each of the addresses brought us to a winery celebrating "Wine and Chocolate" weekend and had some sort of special tasting event going on. It was so much fun, that we've done it ever year since.

Unfortunately this year, we have to skip it. He's got to make a trip back to Ohio for family reasons and he totally needs to be there, more than he needs to be here. There's not much I can do to help make it better.  The only thing I could think of on Monday night? Take making dinner off his plate, so I decided to order a pizza.

I didn't know that Pizza Hut had their own heart shaped pizza for Valentine's Day, so I ordered one without telling him. I handed him the box while I signed the receipt with our delivery driver. As I was signing, I could hear him laughing from the kitchen.

Seeing that silly, heart shaped pizza was the first thing to make him smile that day.  I just wanted to say thank you to the team at the Pizza Hut on Federal way for making it happen and giving us a chance to enjoy a cool Valentine's Day moment before his trip.

BTW, if this pizza can make someone else smile it starts at $11.99. They also offer a bundle where you can pair the pizza with a Hershey's Chocolate Chip Cookie or Hershey's Triple Chocolate Brownie.
