Health and wellness is a journey that takes a lifetime — and we're approaching that special time of year when holiday festivities might test our eating habits and when we might start thinking about New Year's goals.

So, it's only natural to take stock of health and wellness options in the area to put yourself in the proper mindframe for making good long- and short-term decisions. The perfect place to do that is the FREE Health and Wellness Fair at the Nampa Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 11.

Vendors will share information about:

• Future planning

The fair is in its 19th year, and past vendors have offered free services such as massages, spinal checks, and blood pressure screenings, along with prizes and giveaways. It is geared toward all ages, from child to adult and seniors, and typically features live entertainment, informational seminars, and more.
