Daylight savings time always turns me into a zombie in the spring. In order to keep myself feeling fresh and stay ahead of the curve this year, I found some awesome tips to help kickstart my spring!1. Don't take too many naps- I know it is hard to resist that urge when you are tired, but trust me! This will help your sleep pattern stay more regular and help keep you from feeling fatigued later.

2. Work out- Exercising releases serotonin which helps your body adjust to the time change. A brisk walk early in the day will help you stay alert and focused throughout the day!

3. Eat Breakfast- Even if you aren't a breakfast person, just try a granola bar on the drive to work. The meal in the morning will help your body adjust and realize that it is time to wake up versus dragging along and trying to go back to bed.

4. Avoid energy drinks- These may make you "feel" awake for a short period of time, but eventually it takes its toll on your body. Energy drinks can leave you feeling jittery and fatigued as they wear off.

5. Avoid late night snacks- Having heavy food in your stomach disrupts your sleep cycle.
