AMBER Alert Cancelled But Suspect Will Not Surrender

This morning an AMBER Alert was issued in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon after Justin Robertson stabbed his wife multiple times and then took their 5-year-old son  Ethan and fled.  Robertson's wife had recently served him with divorce papers which was most likely part of what prompted him to go down this dark path.  Robertson's wife has serious injuries but she is going to be o.k.

According to KTVB, the incident took place in the Spokane, Washington area.  Authorities took every precaution making sure that everyone in all areas surrounding Washington was aware and looking for 5-year-old Ethan.  After a few hours, Robertson and his son were located in St. John which is about an hour south of Spokane.  Fortunately, S.W.A.T. was able to negotiate the release of Ethan, the 5-year-old boy the AMBER Alert was sent out for.  Ethan has not been harmed in any way.

The suspect, Justin Robertson, will not give himself up and remains locked up in a house with authorities surrounding the residence.  Robertson is considered armed and dangerous.  We'll keep you posted as more information is released.
