Dairy Queen restaurants across the Treasure Valley will give you a free vanilla cone, and there's only one thing you have to do to get it.

Lots of food trends popped up this year (some better than others) and Idaho seemed to embrace some of them. Like boozy ice cream.

Other ice cream shops around the country are following in Boise's footsteps by pairing alcohol with ice cream, and this may just be the tip of the iceberg for the boozy fusion trend.  How about some wine-flavored jelly on a PB&J?

This is a great way to beat the heat.  In honor of National Ice Cream Day, McDonald's will hand you a free vanilla cone this weekend, and all you have to do is show up at a participating location. You'll have a chance at winning free ice cream for life too.

Ever noticed how our taste buds have to work up to ice cream as the day goes on? Nobody really eats an ice cream cone for breakfast.  As we ponder the big ice cream questions, we can save a little cash on scoops today at Baskin Robbins as they celebrate their anniversary, starting at 11 a.m.  The scoops could be for brunch, or whenever our taste buds decide they're ready.
