Jeanty Beats Kellen Moore in Boise State’s NFL Showdown

There are few names more honored not only among Boise State football fans but here in the State of Idaho than Kellen Moore.

The football mastermind is now a head coach in the NFL and this year, he will be entering his second at the helm. Everyone in Boise is rooting for Moore's success in the NFL and he's well on his way.

Moore, who led the New Orleans Saints to a 6-11 record last season, hopes to have better results this season, now that he has had a full year of development with this team under his belt.

In four years at Boise State, his record as starting quarterback was 50-3. He ranks second in all time passing touchdowns in all of college football, third in passing efficiency, and fifth in career passing yardage. In other words, the guy is a legend.

Most weeks, fans in Boise root for him without a doubt. This weekend, things felt a little different.

Moore was slated to take on Ashton Jeanty, the only other Bronco to ever be a Heisman Finalist and a guy that Boise State fans find themselves rooting for non-stop, as well.

Boise State fans, in one way, really couldn't lose. But somebody had to take the 'L'.

Kellen's defense held Jeanty scoreless and only gave up 56-yards on the ground and 37-yards in the air when it came to the fellow Bronco.

Call it the 'Bronco Bowl', or whatever it may be, this is the only time that the two will meet this season so for now, Jeanty is the champion.
