When it snows, folks working in the weather industry are more than happy to tell you about it.

EXPECT 4 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOWFALL TONIGHT!

WORKING IN THE MORNING? BETTER FILL UP THAT SNOWBLOWER!

COULD SCHOOL BE CANCELLED FOR YOUR KIDS BECAUSE OF SNOW? MORE AT 11!

We get it. It snows sometimes, and people need to be informed. That makes sense.

What doesn't make sense is the vile, offensive word meteorologists and others in the weather game continue to use to depict a recent snowfall.

We're not talking about an avalanche. Or a giant snowdrift. Or even blizzard-like conditions. Oh no. It's far worse than that.

We're talking about this absolute filth: Dump.

STORM COULD DUMP SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW IN EASTERN IDAHO!

MASSIVE SNOW DUMP LEAVES FAMILY STRANDED!

WILL THIS LATEST DUMP OF SNOW FLUSH YOUR WEEKEND PLANS?

Gross. You are all disgusting and should be ashamed of yourselves. Because you know that even though you're clearly talking about snow, every viewer/listener is going to instantly start thinking about poop.

"Grow up," you say. Sure, sounds easy enough. But try not to think of actually taking a dump when you hear on tv THIS ENORMOUS SNOW DUMP IS LIKE NOTHING YOU'VE EVER SEEN!

See? You're thinking about poop. Point proven.

Weather people: Please stop being gross.

Love, everyone.
