Two Nampa Gang Incidents In One Day Leave One Injured, One Dead
A juvenile is in custody and another suspect is on the run following multiple incidents of gang violence in Nampa early Monday (4/17) morning according to Nampa police.
On April 17, 2023, at 1:35 a.m., Nampa Dispatch received a 911 call reporting someone had possibly been shot in the 16000 block of N. White Pine St. Callers indicated the person who did the shooting was in a vehicle that was traveling through the trailer park. Upon arrival, an adult male was located with a gunshot injury to the buttocks and genitalia. We do not currently have any suspects in this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
It was at this time that police became aware of a second shooting that took place nearby in the same trailer park they were investigating. Unfortunately, when officers arrived at the scene, they couldn't save the victim who police identified as Jacob Aguiniga of Nampa.
According to police, "Both shooting incidents are gang-related, and it appears all parties involved are gang affiliated."
Right off the bat, we want to thank our officers and first responders who continue to put their lives on the line to keep us safe. It's a scary series of events already but when you factor in that it is gang-related, it makes things that much more terrifying. This gang activity is impacting our very own backyard and there could be a few gangs responsible for the violence.
