Christian Band Unspoken Coming to Eagle for Benefit Concert
I’ve lived in Idaho for more than 30 years now. And the more I think I know about the number of people and organizations doing remarkable things, the more I realize there are many that I’m not aware of.
My360Project is one of them.
When I heard the Nampa-based nonprofit was bringing Christian band Unspoken to Eagle for a benefit concert, I wanted to know more. Turns out, there's a lot more to this story than a concert.
My360Project in Nampa, Idaho
I spoke with My360Project founder Darryl Carnley, who explained how his organization has spent the last decade providing shoes to children in need around the world.
But the bigger story isn't just the giving of the shoes; it's how those shoes are made.
Rather than simply shipping donated shoes overseas, My360Project works with local partners in places like Mexico and Uganda. They teach people to manufacture shoes and pay them for their work.
Carnley explained that in some countries, children can't attend school without shoes.
But for Carnley, it's about much more than the shoes themselves.
"It's about the one."
He explained that volunteers don't simply hand out shoes. They sit with each child, wash their feet, and spend time getting to know them.

Unspoken Concert in Eagle, Idaho
The upcoming Unspoken concert represents an ongoing relationship between the band and My360Project.
The connection dates back to 2018. Lead singer Chad Mattson and his family have personally participated in one of the organization's humanitarian trips.
When the nonprofit experienced a challenging year for international travel, Mattson suggested the band perform a benefit concert.
But recent storm damage in Vicente Guerrero, Mexico, has given the event another purpose.
"We've already started sending money down to help," Carnley said.
My360Project's facilities suffered relatively minor damage, but Carnley says some of its local humanitarian partners lost roofs and experienced extensive property damage.
The concert will now help support both the organization's ongoing work and recovery efforts in Mexico.

Where Does My360Project Money Go?
I asked Carnley how funds raised through the concert would be distributed.
He explained that proceeds, after concert expenses, will go to My360Project. Those funds provide direct support to its humanitarian programs and relief partners.
"We are definitely open books when it comes to that," Carnley said. My360Project transparently posts its 990 reporting on its website.
He also explained that a $35 shoe sponsorship helps cover manufacturing, outreach, and delivery costs.

Combs Car Corral Charitable Work
Since I moved to Boise, it didn’t take long for me to notice that Dennis Combs and Combs Car Corral are actively involved in Treasure Valley charities.
Combs has been a longtime supporter of My360Project. Carnley says Combs and his family have personally participated in humanitarian trips and helped support numerous projects over the years.
