Now that the Discovery Center has it's own dinosaur in residence, it's time to celebrate! Except this celebration isn't for the young ones, it's for the young at heart who want to play like a kid again!

The Discovery Center of Idaho is setting aside two special evenings for those 21+ to come visit their new "Tinker the T-Rex" exhibit. The Adult Nights, nicknamed "A Drink with Tink" take place this Friday, January 24 and again a few weeks later on Friday, February 7.

The evening gives visitors the opportunity to purchase beer from Lost Grove Brewing, wine or other specialty drinks. Big Jud's will also be there to take care of dinner if you're hungry.

They've got some "t-riffic" friends coming for special programming in addition to all of their regular exhibits and Tinker. VR1 Arcade will use their virtual reality technology to get you up close and personal with your favorite dinosaurs in their natural habitat. The Lunstads and Boise State Geology Department will both share some cool paleontology material and talk about their digs. The Idaho Sate Museum (which is amazing if you haven't checked out the remodel yet) will give you a chance to mine for gold and share what the Gem State was like dating back to Tinker's time. Stewart's Gem Shop will also show off some of their other fossils, rocks and gems in addition to the ones they've donated to the Tinker exhibit.

Tickets for both evenings are $22 on pre-sale or can be purchased at the door if the evening hasn't sold out for $25. Click HERE to get yours now!

If you go, make sure you walk around and check out all of the exhibits they have to offer. With Star Wars back in the limelight, one of the coolest parts of their BRICKS exhibit is their UCS Millennium Falcon.  It's made up of 7,541 pieces!
