Yesterday, a fire broke out at the Idaho Youth Ranch Warehouse on W. Irving St., and Ada County officials released a statement that provided more details as to what happened in a statement released yesterday afternoon.

"With this large of fire and due to the temperature outside, a lot of the times firefighters will struggle with heat-related injuries. We upgraded this fire to a 3rd alarm, which adds additional crews," said Boise Fire's Division Chief of Operations, Aaron Hummel in the statement.

"Crews isolated the fire to the warehouse building and expect to be on scene putting out hot spots until the morning."

In the statement, the City of Boise says that the east side of the building is "collapsed and is completely destroyed." While there were no reports of injuries to civilians, the statement reveals that two firefighters were "treated for injuries" with one firefighter being transported to the hospital in stable condition. It was reported that the Idaho Youth Ranch also suffered from fire damage.
