Stop me if you've heard this one before: A man is driving home from work and sees a house fully engulfed in flames. He quietly gets out of his truck and walks IN to the house to rescue the last person still inside the fire. The kicker: Nobody knew who he was nor did he stick around after the rescue.

I posted the video (below) so you can see it all go down. Watch for the random guy in the blue Dodgers hat come out of nowhere and then emerge from the smoke carrying a man over his shoulder.

The man, now identified as Tom Artiaga, said he was just driving home from work when he saw the flames. As far as his reasoning for heading into the fully engulfed house, according to Perez Hilton, Artiaga said, "It's just an instinct, you know? It's just an instinct, you see someone and you just help out people, you know?"

No, sir, we don't know. This act was heroic and so extremely dangerous. Most of us would have just been left standing on the sidewalk feeling helpless.

According to Artiaga's son, there was no mention of the rescue when his dad came home from work. He acted like it was a normal day.

Let me throw a wrench into things, here. I do believe the act of saving another man in a fire is heroic. I won't take that away from Mr. Artiaga. However, the fact that he can keep something that big from his family is a red flag to me. He didn't mention anything about it? This may be a bit dramatic on my part but if my husband or dad was keeping something that significant from entering our conversation, I'd be concerned. That's not normal.

Maybe he's humble and maybe I have trust issues but that's kind of a giant deal. Am I way off-base?

The two were reunited and it, too, was caught on video HERE.
