I hate when people tell me how many calories are in a Pumpkin Spice Latte! (It's about 380 btw.)

I'm one of the charter members of the "Pumpkin Spice and Everything Else" club, so I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.  But maybe I do need a workout in my life to help burn off some of the approximately 13,300 calories of PSL I will most likely consume while it's in season.

That's why I'm so thankful for Crunch Fitness! They started me a membership there a few months ago and absolutely love the flexibility it gives me. I've belonged to other gyms in the past, but I always tied down to one location.  Crunch is different! Between Boise, Meridian, Eagle and Caldwell, they have six locations that I can go workout and drop-in classes out.  When you've got meetings all over the Treasure Valley, that rocks.  Right now State Street is my home gym, but I can't tell you how many times I've stopped at the Meridian location while I'm between the office and a meeting at The Village!

Another thing that I love about Crunch? It's so inclusive. Unlike some of the other Treasure Valley gyms I've been to, it's not full of twiggy 20 something women and buff dudes that I feel intimidated by.  On any given day, you see people of all body types, ages and fitness levels at Crunch - no judgement or glares of disapproval. That includes their class instructors too!  I have a bad shoulder and they help me work around it because they know that there's no one way to get a good workout in.  Everyone's different and that's a-OK at Crunch! They're just happy that you've taken a step forward toward a healthier lifestyle!

My membership lets me bring a friend (or husband, since he didn't like being called my "friend") whenever I want, but I wanted to invite all of my favorite LITE-FM listeners to check Crunch out, so they're letting me take over a few of their classes!

You're cordially invited to check out an Overdrive class at 5:30 p.m. and/or a Chisel class at 6 p.m. with me on Tuesday, August 28!  This takes place at the State Street gym (2999 N Lakeharbor Ln, Boise.) You don't have to be a Crunch member, just show up and you can drop in and check it out. Just fill out the RSVP form below so I can let Holly, our instructor, know how many people to expect!
