A little over two years ago, Christmas Eve in Boise was interrupted by an emergency alert delivering a “Snow Squall Warning” alert. It’s very possible that you may see one of those again this weekend.

A few years ago, there was a nasty debate broke out in the Boise Bench Dwellers Facebook group when Amanda made a simple request of her neighbors.

This year, Boise’s first measurable snowfall of the season showed up later than normal.

We knew the snow was coming but when it came time to pull out of the garage, common sense went out the window.

Typically, Boise sees its first snowfall of the year by November 22. It may be a little late in 2023, but our area is about to get it’s first taste of winter in a big way!

Whether it’s bundling up and tip-toeing through Christmas lights or enjoying cocoa in front of a crackling fire while you watch Christmas movies, we’re officially in that time of the year when cozy thoughts run through your head!

The National Weather Service has updated their long range winter forecast for Boise and depending on your tolerance level for snow, you may not love what’s on the way.

Cooler temperatures may have taken a little longer to arrive than they have in the past, but those frigid mornings when you want to order a peppermint mocha just to hold it are finally here!

It shouldn’t surprise you that Idaho put at least one city on the list! What will shock you is the city they chose.

While El Nino is expected to impact Boise this year, its still possible that the city could set some of these single day records.
