School Closures

Temperatures are starting to warm in the Treasure Valley, but they were still cold enough to cause freezing rain and sleet, leading to slippery roadways. These schools have made cancellations or delays for Friday, January 19.

The Treasure Valley is cleaning up from another winter storm and is preparing for a round of sleet/freezing rain.

A winter storm moved through the Treasure Valley overnight, dumping 2 inches of snow in some areas of the Treasure Valley.

First staff shortages in service industries took a big hit. Next and most recently the airlines were forced to cancel tons of flights due to airline staff out sick mostly due to the pandemic. Now it is hitting our school system.

The list is getting much smaller as conditions across Southern Idaho continue to improve.  There are still a handful of closures for today (Friday, January 13, 2017).
