The charts and maps and graphs they have in the article are impressive a little daunting but very interesting. Over the last couple of weeks, Idaho, Wyoming, Alabama, Mississippi and West Virginia have had a fall in daily positive COVID cases. The study goes on to describe similar scenarios for the other four states listed that also happen to be, like Idaho, some of the least vaccinated states in the country.
A mom who was also a Nampa School District employee died last week after a three-week battle with COVID-19. She had been fully vaccinated for six months.
This post is in no way a political post, nor is it trying to sway anyone one way or another on getting the vaccine. This is simply a true telling of me and my families experience of what we went through having COVID-19. We are all ok now, and while it was close at one point, none of us had to go to the hospital. That being said there were times when it was a pretty scary and worrisome experience.
Here we go again? The plot thickened Tuesday when Boise Mayor, Lauren McLean, announced new COVID-19 policies for events this fall, and it felt a little like 2020 might be happening all over again. But this is why it won't.
This is something no parent wants to hear. Idaho is seeing a surge in COVID cases in babies and toddlers, and the most likely cause is the delta variant. There is one thing parents are being asked to do to protect them.
