I was in Walmart this week and noticed Peeps Cereal in at least different three places around the store. Peeps are everywhere! And they're a sign that we're nearing the end of the pandemic. Let me explain.
Everything has been canceled or changed due to covid-19, while I am sad that the event and activities have been canceled I am am a little relieved it is not for the reason everything else has been canceled this year.
The pandemic has thrown a wrench into many things, and apparently that includes some conveyor belts at candy manufacturing plants because the Treasure Valley won't be getting the usual stash this year.
Quite a few Halloween events will probably be canceled this fall, and the experts are saying candy sales could be cut in half. They really don't know us very well, do they?
Valentine's candy doesn't have to be so mysterious. There are ways to figure out what's in the middle without a map, and without using your fingernail.
If you get some Sweethearts candies this Valentine's Day, appreciate the journey those things have been on. It hasn't been easy getting them back into stores, but after a one-year hiatus, they'll be back with two new flavors and a lot more blanks.
