As the Boise, Nampa, Caldwell and Vallivue school districts head back to school, that means you'll start seeing things on your afternoon commute that have been missing over the last few months.

The new outfits are folded. The new supplies are in the backpack. The lunchbox eagerly awaits being filled with PB&J and Goldfish crackers. This weekend feels a little bittersweet, doesn't it?

Buying all of our school supplies at one store won't lead to the biggest savings. There are ways to score cheap markers and free pens and dramatically reduce the back-to-school bill, but we've got to know the tricks before we head out.

I'll never forget how excited I was to find out that I had Mrs. Tabak for 4th grade! Why? Because EVERYONE knew her classroom had a class box turtle!

Last year local running store, Fleet Feet Meridian, teamed up with Real Life Ministries to donate a new pair of shoes to every child at Meridian Elementary.  This year, they want to help your kids feel awesome going back to school!
