A motorcycle driver from Washington state suffered serious injuries in an accident on Saturday morning on an Idaho highway.

Idaho State Police are investigating the crash that happened at State Highway 41 and W. Village Blvd, north of Rathdrum.

The report from ISP states:

The driver of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, a 35-year-old male from Newport, WA, was traveling southbound on SH 41 when it collided with a Ford Super Duty Pickup, driven by a 46-year-old male from Coeur d’Alene, as it made a left turn from W. Village Blvd onto SH 41.

The driver of the motorcycle was wearing his helmet, but still sustained serious injuries and was taken by Life Flight helicopter to a local hospital.

The driver of the truck and three other passengers were not injured in the accident. The crash blocked the roadway for around 3 hours.

On the south side of Idaho, authorities recovered the body of a 19-year-old male drowning victim in the area above the Twin Falls Dam. Reports say the young man fell from a boat and never resurfaced.

A search and rescue diving team found the body and brought it to the surface about an hour and a half after the man went missing.
