You're at home in the comfort of your own bed--and you hear a loud crash. It frightens you--but never in a million years would you assume that it involved YOUR car, right?

One Nampa resident has been left baffled at the hit and run that took place in their own driveway, and we're hoping to help them find some answers or information.

Take a look at this devastating damage that took place to a car--parked in its own driveway--during a recent Nampa Hit & Run:

Can you believe that someone hit this car!?

The owner of the vehicle posted to a local Facebook group, hoping that someone may have advice, a lead on the crime, or insight into what to do next:

Someone did a HIT AND RUN when my fiance car was PARKED on our driveway on Nov 20th around 9:50pm. I am so upset. We literally moved into this house on November 1st. We have not set up a camera yet. We did not see who did it. Just loud noise and when we went outside, the car was hit so hard it moved the whole car to the grass. How does that even happens?

A crash like this is NEVER cool--but leading up to the holidays? We're all trying to make ends meet right now and this is a stressor that nobody should have to deal with.

Since originally posting, the car owner has shared that a nearby neighbor found footage of a white Volkswagen leaving the area on this day and time.

We hope that someone will do the right thing and come forward.

If you have any information or tips, please contact the Nampa Police Department.
