Miss Your Amazon Item? This Caldwell Man Probably Stole It
There are few worse feelings on Earth than eagerly awaiting the arrival of a package. You've checked your email for updates. You're tracking the delivery on the app. Then...poof. It simply never shows up.
If that scenario sounds familiar to you, you may have a man in Caldwell to blame for your delivery woes.
Alright, alright. What did this guy in Caldwell do?
He stole a bunch of packages, that's what.
A third-party delivery driver for Amazon was recently arrested and charged with grand theft. The reason? He (allegedly) stole over $86,000 worth of packages and items from Amazon that were supposed to be delivered to customers.
Boise Police Detective Plaisted had this to say:
Investigations of this scale are only successful with the collaboration of our retail partners. We're grateful to Amazon's Loss Prevention team for quickly identifying and escalating the issue. Criminal operations like this ultimately impact consumers the most, and stopping them helps protect the entire community.
If you believe you have a package due to you that hasn't arrived yet, make sure you contact the seller and get things worked out. Just don't try to contact the guy that most likely stole it, as he's currently behind bars.
