It's summer in Idaho, and it's one of the best places in the world to be this time of year. So much to do outside, so much sunshine to enjoy, so many fun activities.

However, if you can take just a few minutes out of your summer festivities, you could possibly save a life.

The Idaho Red Cross is imploring the public to donate blood.

The American Red Cross is asking anyone who's able to donate blood, as they deal with a rise in trauma cases in the summer months. With Idahoans gettin' busy with boating, biking, camping, and all sorts of other outdoor activities that could end up pretty dangerous, blood donations are always more in need during the summer months in Idaho.

In case you're wondering, all blood types are needed, especially if you're Typo O, because that can be used to help almost anyone in need.

There are more resources online about how and where can donate blood, volunteer, and help in other ways.

The need is real. If you're at all able to donate blood, or know family/friends who may be able to help, you're highly encouraged to do so.

Sure, Idaho needs blood donations, but do we need more people here?

Is there even room left in the state of Idaho for one additional person to move in?

Am I going to have to shove my couch against the wall to make room for more people?

I have several questions, as you can see.
