Given Idaho's under-the-radar status and proximity to the Golden Gate State, it's quite possible Idahoans might have a fugitive living amongst us. California resident Michael James Pratt made history on September 7, 2022 when he joined the FBI's 10 Most Wanted fugitives list. He was the first Californian resident in over 20 years to earn the notorious distinction. Born in New Zealand, 39-year-old Pratt was the former co-owner of two low-rent pornographic empires called GirlsDoPorn and GirlsDoToys. According to FBI records, between 2012 and 2019, the San Diego based businesses brought in more than $17 million in revenue.

As stated on the FBI's Most Wanted website, the federal charges brought against Pratt in the United States District Court, Southern District of California on November 6, 2019 include:

  • Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking by Force
  • Fraud & Coercion
  • Production of Child Pornography
  • Sex Trafficking of a Minor & by Force
  • Fraud & Coercion; Sex Trafficking by Force
  • Fraud & Coercion; Criminal Forfeiture

Pratt did not work alone, however. His former business partner, 40-year-old Matthew Isaac Wolfe, admitted to relocating to the U.S. in 2011 to work for Pratt, his friend and co-defendant. Wolfe's roles and responsibilities for GirlsDoPorn and GirlsDoToys included the filming and production of approximately 100 videos along with overseeing company financials and marketing promotions.

Wolfe lied to and preyed on vulnerable young women, subjecting them to years of relentless harassment, fear and mental anguish.” —Stacey Moy, FBI

On July 26, 2022, Wolfe plead guilty "before U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara L. Major to Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud and Coercion, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1594."

The FBI is currently offering a reward of up to $100,000 for credible information leading to the arrest of Michael James Pratt.
