Have it your way, Idaho.

Believe it or not, it's possible to be both a summer person and a winter person. And that's perfectly okay!

Picturesque winters, gorgeous fall foliage, and stunning summers--living in Idaho, we get the best of every season. But that's not to say we don't experience our fair share of less-than-awesome weather.

We're forever scarred by Snowmaggedon 2016-2017 and our neighbors' remarkable lack of shoveling skills and wills.

Idaho summer 2024 took no prisoners.

Between June and July homie hit us with 20 triple-digit and 20 double-digit heaters. For added context, Idahoans were sweating like sinners in church for 40 of 61 days. Our hearts go out to those of us victimized by someone's ineffectual hippie deodorant.

Still, most of us, ourselves included, were all about the summer lovin' 😎

Floating the river, spending entire days at Roaring Springs with the fam, fishing off the deck at Star City Pond West, kid-free booze cruises on the boat at Lucky Peak...we lived it up and blew through 20+ cans of sunscreen in the process.

And now we're pretty much over summer '24.

But does Mother Nature give a rat's @$$? Nope. The first week of August is coming in hot with four triple-digit days like a petty spouse who had to have the final word in a fight about how to load the dishwasher.

That's not all, folks. August has 26 days, mostly in the mid-to-high 90s, for us to sweat through.

All of this is to say that it's totally acceptable to publicly pine for cooler temps and the carbs you gave up for your summer baddie body. As we exit our way out of hell-hot July, take comfort in knowing there are only 113 days (give or take) before Boise sees its first snowfall, darling.
