I feel like today was made specifically for Idaho… because it’s National Tater Tot Day! We recently discovered the #1 family recipe in Idaho is actually tater tots. So, of course, we’ve gotta celebrate this day. And, if anyone knows a little something about potatoes, it’s Idahoans.

National Tater Tot Day, not to be confused with National Tater Day (in March & August), is every February 2nd.

National Today says, "Your love of tater tots likely stems from elementary school (with a little help from the 2004 classic film “Napoleon Dynamite”). However, there’s far more to these little nuggets of potato than that. Did you know they’re considered “fine dining”? At upper-echelon restaurants all across the U.S., you’ll find tater tots on the menu, right next to foie gras."
