We don't care if we're coming off a string of 100º days, our bodies are ready for pumpkin spice and everything nice!

Most of the time, I'll brag about how awesome my circle of friends is. Last week, they did something that sucked. Big time. More than familiar with my undying love of the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte they sent me an article titled "It's official! Pumpkin Spice Latte returning to Starbucks menus soon." Giddy with anticipation, I clicked the article expecting to see the date.

There was no date.

The article simply explained that the PSL's return this fall had been confirmed during an earnings call. Your initial reaction might have been "Well duh. Why wouldn't it be back in 2020?" Well, many fast food restaurants have trimmed back some of their more complicated items to make things easier on locations understaffed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. People were worried seasonal treats like the PSL would be on the chopping block.

My friends suck. I've searched the internet high and the internet low for a potential return date and here's what I've narrowed it down to. It is my prediction (just a prediction as Starbucks has NOT confirmed this information) that the Pumpkin Spice Latte will return to Boise sometime between August 25-28.

Here's how I came to that educated guess.

On the Low End: Earlier this morning, someone from Georgetown, Massachusetts posted a photo of artwork on a Starbucks window reading "21 days until PSL" in the Leaf Rakers Society group on Facebook. That group is moderated by Starbucks and now that image has mysteriously vanished.

On the High End: A newer store in California posted a photo of the Pumpkin Spice flavor sauce with the caption "Who is excited for the Pumpkin Spice launch!! Coming August 28th!! Mark your calendars!!” That image has also been deleted.

Again, this all speculation from someone who has way too much time to waste on the internet and thinks 2020 could certainly use the comfort of a PSL right about now.

Until then, our very own Jen Austin has a friend who lives to track Pumpkin Spice products and you can see her two cents on what other pumpkin-y goodness you might find across the Treasure Valley this year by clicking HERE.
