Ok I don't want to brag, but I could totally jump the curb on a bike. I know...pretty cool, right? Ok, Ok, I guess it's not that cool considering what some people can do on bikes. If you're THAT person that would love to show off some actual skills, there's some good news. According to KTVB, the Boise City Council and the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation have agreed to "built a state-of-the-art bike skills park in Boise".

The mountain bike focused park will be built in the "basin between Fort Boise Park and Military Reserve." Now, the current park actually serves as an off-leash dog area...so are they kicking out the pups? Not necessarily, they'll actually be creating a 'new and improved' off-leash area adjacent to that basin. The project is in its design phase, but KTVB reports that it will include "tracks, rollers and other skills elements for mountain bikers of all ages and abilities." There's also a bathroom facility in the works for the park.

We'll keep you posted on their construction date, but in the meantime, if you'd like some more information or would like to give your input, they will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday, April 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Dick Eardley Senior Center.
