Walking up to the counter and ordering a cheeseburger seems to work well, but one fast-food restaurant in the Treasure Valley says it plans to put self-service kiosks in all of its locations by the end of 2016.  See which one here, and find out why someone in Boise will have the final say.

Wendy's is planning to roll out self-service kiosks at all of it's restaurants by the end of the year, but the company says it will be up to the local franchise owner whether or not they want to implement the new technology.  Should Boise do it?

The health food craze and rising worker wages have cut into profits for a lot of fast food restaurants, and many of them are looking for ways to keep up.  Ordering from an automated system is one way to lower costs over the long haul.

And nothing ever goes wrong with automated systems, right?  Riiiiight. High five, Wendy's employees.  Keep up the good work.

We've got Wendy's locations all over the Treasure Valley, including West State Street in Boise and South Broadway; Eagle River Street in Eagle; and East Florence and East Corporate in Meridian, plus others.

We'll keep you updated on what happens.  In the meantime, pamper yourself with a cold Frosty, and thank the workers for all they do.
