Why am I so passionate about St. Luke's Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network?

Instead of expecting you to read a thousand words I think this picture will give you a much better idea of what motivates me.   I had to wait a full 2 months after my granddaughter Ariella was born before I could finally hold her and this is that moment:

I had to wait 2 months before I could hold Ariella because she was a micro preemie born 13 weeks before her due date and weighing only 1 pound 8 ounces and just 12 inches long - the same size as a Barbie doll!

The crew at St. Luke's Children's Hospital saved the lives of both Ariella and her mother.  During the twelve and a half weeks of hospitalization in the NICU following her birth, the hospital staff and volunteers from the Children's Miracle Network provided love, security and many comforts during a very stressful and miraculous time.

Please help us help other families during "Kevin and Brenda's 36 Hours For Kids" to benefit St. Luke's Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network Feb 12th and 13th (Thursday and Friday) at St. Luke's downtown.  We will be set up and broadcasting live in the front main atrium area from 5am-6pm both days.  Please stop by if you get the chance.  We'd love the company and support and would love it if you wouldn't mind sharing your own miracle stories.

You can also phone in a donation during the radiothon or donate online now to help St. Luke's Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.
