We have a subdivision ready to build homes on the west side of our property.  Sometime within the next year or two there will be eight new homes on the other side of the new vinyl fence that was put in this summer.

Before the fence went in, there were two canals between us and open field. We would let the poodles run and jump the canal, Griz would end up chest deep in them depending on the water. Daisy would act like a girl and not want to mess up her poodle do.

There were fields of corn, alfalfa, beets, potatoes, for that matter anything green that Jimmy or I wanted to grow.  I loved watching the machinery harvesting in the fall. Now all that is coming to an end.

Pretty soon we will have people and houses where there used to be food.

For now here are two views from our place.  One is to the west at about 5:40 at sunset.  We say we have award winning sunsets pretty much every night.

Sunset from our front porch

While that was going on, the moon was coming up almost over Table Rock to the east.

I'm going to miss those views when we are surrounded by human neighbors.  For now I will enjoy every one of them while I can.  I may not have a ton of money, but I have things folks with money can't buy,
