Throughout 2020, many of us have put off non-urgent services like eye exams, wellness screenings and dental cleanings. For some, it's due to COVID-19 concerns. For others, it may be because the pandemic has caused a tight financial situation for the family.

If you've found yourself in that second category and don't know where to turn for help, Ustick Dental is a great place to start! On Friday, November 6 they're holding their annual Free Day of Dentistry at their office at 9733 W. Ustick Rd.

This day is meant for adults who've put off their own oral care because they can't get dental services somewhere else. The event includes possible extraction or teeth cleaning free of charge. Overall, they'll offer 28 teeth cleanings and 39 possible extraction appointments on November 6.

In addition to being at least 18 years old the only other requirement for services is to register through the Ustick Dental website beginning at 10 a.m. this Friday, October 23. This will allow them to fill appointment times on a first come, first serve basis. Appointments are required for these FREE services.

As someone who put off a dental visit for 10 years, not because I couldn't afford it or obtain it, but because I was afraid of it...I really encourage you to take advantage of this event if you qualify. If I had gone to the dentist regularly, there's a good chance I would've known that my wisdom teeth needed to come out a few years ago rather than after age 30. They're not kidding when they say recovery is incredibly difficult later in life!
