The kiddos may be back in school, but that doesn't mean there aren't a ton of great things going on in the Treasure Valley.  A few are staples of summertime, and others are things you may not yet have considered, but here's what we feel are the Top 10 Things you might want to consider being a part of this weekend.

    Fall Scrimmage & Fan Appreciation Day

    1:45 p.m. Saturday, August 26

    It's hard to believe the 2017-2018 BSU football season is almost here - but it is! To celebrate being one week away from kickoff, BSU is hosting their Fan Appreciation Day starting at 1:45 p.m. on August 26th at Albertsons Stadium.

    Fans will be able to catch the Broncos’ final scrimmage and following the scrimmage, will be invited onto the field for photos and autographs with coaches, student-athletes, the spirit squad and Buster Bronco. Gates open at 1 p.m. and the event is free for the entire family!

    As an additional thank you, all fans in attendance will receive the Broncos’ 2017 fall schedule poster which can be signed by the team. Posters and schedule cards will be available at each entrance, and at the 50-yard line gates as fans enter the field following the scrimmage.

    The Color Run

    9 a.m. Saturday

    If you love social media photos and doing something positive with your time, consider being a last minute signup for The Color Run! The event kicks off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, on Park Center Blvd. This event is great for the entire family - but don't forget your camera! This 5K is the perfect photo opportunity!

    Water Fest

    Friends of the Aquatic Center will be hosting a family-friendly water event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday! There will be water slides, a dunk tank and lunch! Rumor has it the Ontario Fire Department will also be on-hand to spray the kids with the big hose! So fun! If you're looking for a way to cool off this weekend, consider stopping by!

    10th Annual Pooch Party

    9 a.m. August 26th

    If you love spoiling your pup - consider taking them to the 10th annual Pooch Party! The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lakeview Park. Guests and their pups are invited to participate in a one-mile walk around  Lakeview Park followed by dogs being allowed to swim in the pool! There will be contests, raffles, a canine cake walk with proceeds going towards the continued development of Nampa’s Amity Dog Park.

    90's Bar Crawl

    2 p.m. Saturday

    It's hard to believe Backstreet Boys' album came out 20 years ago! 20 years!!! While it's tragic knowing current college kids were not born when this iconic album came out, you can enjoy nostalgia by taking part in the 90's bar crawl! There will be drink specials, there will be iconic outfits, and there will be fantastic music!

    Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale

    August 25 – August 28

    If you love books - you'll definitely need to check this out! Starting 11 a.m. on Friday, you can fill a bag full of books for only $5! You'll also be able to score small paperbacks for only $0.50 and hardcover books and media for only $1 each!

    If there are any must-haves still available by Monday, make sure you stop by again because everything will be 50% off starting 9 a.m. and lasting all day!

    Mayweather vs McGregor Fight

    August 26

    The fight of the century is taking place this Saturday night! Almost all sports bars will be featuring the fight. Some allow you reserve your seats for a price ($30 at Tailgate Sports Bar) with other places are offering free viewing. Regardless of where you go to watch the fight, it will be worth it!
