U.S. News and World Report has ranked the best high schools across the country and Timberline High School in Boise received top honors in the state.

The magazine evaluated student performance on state-required tests, how schools have helped to include and educate their "least-advantaged students," and how well students are prepared for college.

Timberline won the top spot with a 19-to-1 student/teacher ratio, 93 percent graduation rate and several others factors.  They were rated with Silver Medal status from the national survey.

Other top schools in the state include Wood River High School in Hailey, Renaissance High School in Meridian, McCall-Donnelly High School, and Century High School in Pocatello.
