The Great Dolphin Dunk is Back at Roaring Springs

This is our absolute favorite day of the season at Roaring Springs!

Ever wonder what the Endless River at Roaring Springs would look like with 10,000 toy dolphins swimming through it? Well, you've got a chance to see it for yourself on Sunday, August 12! Mark your calendars for the 18th annual Great Dolphin dunk benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Ada County!

Here's how it works.  Adopt your dolphins at the Roaring Springs ticket booth or through the Boys and Girls club website between now and the morning of August 12 for $3 a piece.  Your dolphin, along with a couple thousand of its closest friends, will be dropped into the Endless River at high noon! If your dolphin is one of the first four to make it all the way around the river, you're going home with an incredible prize!

2018 Great Dolphin Dunk Grand Prizes

• 4th Place: $500 cash from D.L. Evans Bank
• 3rd Place: $500 from Bent Nail Inspections
• 2nd Place: Pizza for a year from Idaho Pizza Company
• 1st Place: Four 2018/2019 Roaring Springs Season Passes

Proceeds from the Dolphin Dunk will go directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County who serve over 1,000 kids a day.  They make sure that kids ages 6-18 have a safe place to spend summer break, as well as after school year during the school year.  The amazing team there fosters kids' minds by offering homework help and help them discover their talents as athletes, artists, musicians, etc. We got to spend some time with the staff there when Jennifer sent Summer Santa to drop off Boise Music Festival tickets a few months ago and got to see first hand the impact the Boys & Girls Clubs make in the lives of Treasure Valley kids.

This year's goal? Raise over $30,000 for the club! I think the Treasure Valley has it in them to make it happen! After all, our community has raised over $850,000 over the dolphin dunk's 18 year history. So get to adopting those dolphins and keep listening to LITE-FM for a chance to win extra dolphins!
