The Zika virus is no joke. It's killing off people in droves, and even putting the summer Olympics in jeopardy.

And now it's showed up in the U.S. not far from Boise.

USA Today is reporting that a person in Utah has passed away from symptoms related to the Zika virus. Details are sparse, but health officials have revealed that the person who passed away is a Utah native, and did just return from traveling to a Zika-prone country. They said the person died from Zika-related symptoms like rash, fever, and conjunctivitis.

In February, a 70-year-old man in Puerto Rico died from the virus, but this is the first reported case in the continental U.S.
