The Rake-Up Nampa event will begin with a volunteer kick-off party in Downtown Nampa at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot in front of the Nampa Train Depot.

The Rake Up Boise event has been around for 33 years now and is a resource for over 700 senior citizens as well as disable people to get help raking up leaves.

Most of us brag to our friends and family (and nod to each other) about living in one of the most beautiful places in the country. The "City of Trees" is amazing. Until it's time to rake.

If you've got those brown bags full of leaves stacked in your driveway and you're wondering when someone is going to pick them up, the answer is...soon! Boise crews are a little overwhelmed with fall right now, but help is on the way.

I have a little bit of a conundrum, and I'm hoping for your advice.  I know raking up leaves is all of our favorite thing to put off, but should I rake or "leaf" them alone, for now?

Most of today was rainy and gray, but there were a few moments where the clouds parted and the sun broke through.  Man was it beautiful in Downtown Boise.

There are definitely perks to living in the "City of Trees."  Beyond the beauty in the summer, the amazing colors in the fall, and even the joy of raking, the chance for leaf play rocks. My kiddo and I did some yard clean up yesterday, not so it would actually stay clean, but so that we could jump in and throw some leaves around...

We live in area that prides itself on being the "City of Trees," so no big surprise, around this time of year we quickly become the "City of Leaves."  That begs one important question.
