Smoky haze may be a thing in Idaho for another six weeks, and that's if zero new wildfires emerge. The fires that are eating up acres of Idaho land now may not be fully contained until mid-September.
This is hard. Every day, the Red Cross says 7 people die in home fires and most of them are in homes that don’t have working smoke alarms. Volunteers in the Treasure Valley are going to change that, and there's still time to get involved and help save a life.
