There's nothing worse than finding out the reason you have bowls of candy left over after Trick-Or-Treat is because kids in your neighborhood spread the word that you were giving out something gross.

That is unless you actually were looking forward to all eating all of those left over circus peanuts or Bit-O-Honey candies yourself. But let's be honest, as adults we don't have a metabolism that can handle eating all of that candy without it going straight to our hips! So what candy should you buy that will guarantee that you'll have an empty bowl on Halloween night?

CandyStore.com went back and broke down their candy sales over the past 11 years to find out which sweet treats were the most popular in each state. They also reached out to major distributors to compare their findings. At the end of the day, they narrowed it down to three candies that Idaho kids would love to find in their pillowcases and trick-or-treat buckets this year! ::drum roll::

  1. Candy Corn
  2. Starburst
  3. Snickers

The findings make me feel like I was the weird kid. I just can't do the candy corn...but then again, I was the kid that would trade my sister the "good candies" for Mounds and Almond Joy bars. No normal kid really asks for the coconut candies...which is why I might just buy a bunch of them for our trick-or-treaters this year! ;-)
