Open Auditions for RENT: the Musical!!!

 

Stage Coach Theatre is thrilled to announce they will be holding open auditions for their upcoming production of Broadway's landmark rock musical "Rent" on December 14th & 15th at 2:00 pm. “Rent” is a rousing rock musical, with operatic tear-jerking moments, and a score that runs the musical gamut from rock and roll to tango, R&B, pop and moving ballads. Those auditioning must be 18 or older. The show runs February 28th – March 22nd, 2014. Rehearsals begin in January 2014. For more information, visit www.stagecoachtheatre.com.

Audition dates:  Saturday, Dec. 14th at 2:00-5:00 pm AND Sunday, Dec.15th at 2:00-5:00 pm

LOCATION:  Stage Coach Theatre – 4802 W. Emerald

 

PREPARATION: Artists auditioning for RENT should:

 

  • Prepare a one minute audition piece. (comedy or drama) If you do not have a prepared monologue, there will be cold readings available at auditions.
  • Prepare a 32 bar selection from a song that you love to sing! (pop, rock, rhythm/blues, or musical) –There will be a CD/Ipod player available to play any recorded background tracks. NO accompanist available. Singers are welcome to sing a capella.
  • Bring Current Headshot & Resume (if available)
  • For the role of Roger, some guitar proficiency is required. Be prepared to play at the audition.

 

SHOW DATES: February 28th, March 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 2014
REHEARSALS:  January 6th – February 27th, 2014
