Saturday Night Live scrapped the opening monologue, and instead put Cecily Strong on stage alone, dressed in black, with this moving tribute to Paris.

If there is any city in the world that knows tragedy, it's New York and it was moving to see a show that's New York-based, not only recognize what happened in Paris Friday, but to do it in this short and sweet way.

Other moving moments you might have noticed over the weekend:  the Army football team running the French flag onto the field in solidarity. And the Eiffel tower turning off its lights.  And your friends' Facebook profile pictures filtered to include the colors of the French flag.

We're all looking to share some love with the French right now.
