If you use Overland Road on your commute into work each morning, you might have to make a slight adjustment. Finding out from the Idaho Transportation Department is repaving Overland Road at Meridian on the nights of September 9th-13th.

Drivers on Overland Road will be redirected around the repaving project each night starting at 8 p.m. ending by 6 a.m. The detour route will use Locust Grove and South Stoddard Roads. There will be one lane of Meridian Road that will remain open in both directions and under control by flaggers. All traffic lanes and businesses will remain open except for those late night and early hours.

The intersection will then be re-striped next week with a new designed to help improve traffic flow. Once the project is done Meridian Road will include three northbound lanes, a dedicated left-turn lane and a dedicated right-turn lane. Please use caution when using this area during the improvement project.
