I nearly spit my coffee out when I saw this video pop up on my Newsfeed the other day.

Before Arie Luyendyk Jr. dumped Becca Kufrin on national TV during the Bachelor's 22nd season finale, our former co-worker Krystal Nielson was considered the seasons "villain." I put that title in quotes because when she was one of our promotions techs, she was one of the nicest people I knew and I still believe ABC producers dug to find a combination of scenes that made her look like a bit of a sociopath.

If you Google the 29 year-old fitness coach, you'll see her hometown listed as Missoula but she lived in the Treasure Valley while pursuing her journalism degree.  After graduating, she left then Peak Broadcasting to head to California to dip her feet into acting.  I completely forgot that she'd done some acting in the Treasure Valley until someone had re-posted this 2012 commercial on Facebook leading up to the Boise Hawks home opener.

Yup.  The girl being serenaded by Humphrey Hawk is none other than the Bachelor contestant! We doubt his will ever be a question in one of the "Last Call Trivia" games around the Treasure Valley, but it's a fun local fact for you to know!

Boise Hawks Kick-Off First Home Series of 2018

Speaking of the Hawks, they continue their first home series of the season against Salem-Keizer tonight and Friday.  Tonight's game is a "Thirsty Thursday" where all domestic beers and Pepsi products are just $1.  Friday's game features some fun for the kids before the game where a few Hawks stars will host "Storytime on the Field" and a big post-game fireworks show. First pitch both nights is at 7:15.
