For years the Nampa Police school resource officers wrap up the school year then help patrol the streets as part of a special bike patrol unit. The equipment has been used for many years and is causing the officers to spend more time at the bike repair shop than actually patrolling the streets as first reported by our friends at KTVB.

Some of the bikes in the Nampa fleet have been around for between 20 and 25 years and while they still manage to do the job it's easy to see there are upgrades that are needed. The bikes always go to Rolling H Cycle in Nampa and while they appreciate working with the officers, the employees agree that it's time to start replacing some of the bikes.

Adam Haynes, Owner of Rolling H Cycles is now raising funds by raffling off a new electric-bike. The 2018 Scott E-Spark is valued around $4,400 and you can purchase your raffle ticket for only $25 online here or at Rolling H Cycle in Nampa. All ticket sales are done as of August 1st so if you want to buy a ticket make it happen now.
