Across the United States, $6.2 billion was spent on Pre-K programs in 2014/2015, and $553 million increase from the year before.

This meant that 1.4 million students were served, up 37,000 from the prior year.  Idaho however is one of eight states without state-funded Pre-K programs.

There are advocacy groups who attempt to make up the difference and offer kids early education, even if the state doesn't fund it, but it means Idaho isn't keeping up with what most other states offer.
